Julia D Bermendez (Arredondo) Schilling

Julia Schilling 79, of Prescott, Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 7, 2025. She was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona where she lived and raised her family until she later relocated to Camp Verde in the 90’s and resided there until she returned home to Prescott in 2022. Julie is preceded in death by her husband Randy Schilling, her parents Valentine and Tomasa Bermudez, her daughter Margaret Arredondo, her grandsons Javier Jimenez and Gabriel Calderon and great grandson Izaiah Avila. She is survived by her 5 daughters, Christina Castro (Prescott Valley), Joe Ann Arredondo (Flagstaff), Tina Calderon (Prescott Valley), Gloria Elenes (Camp Verde) and Julia Arredondo (Prescott Valley) as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Julie was a stay-at-home wife and mother until the early 80’s when she decided to pursue a career in nursing. She loved taking care of people and helping people. She was very much in love with her job and stayed with it until retirement. Julie loved her family and close friends very much and loved spending time with them every chance she could. She loved to have BBQ’s and parties and cook for everyone. She loved music and she loved dancing. She always wanted her house full of people. Julie was good to everyone and loved everyone, so if by chance she didn’t like someone, there was a reason, and she would let you know. No matter what, she tried to find the good in people. Julie was a rare and pure soul with an unexplainable spark that lit up every room she entered. Now she is lighting up heaven with that spark. She will be greatly missed by her family and close friends. She will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in Peace. There will be a viewing Friday April 18th at 12pm at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, Arizona with burial and graveside service to follow at Arizona Pioneers’ Home Cemetery on Iron Springs Road in Prescott, Arizona. Pot luck reception gathering following at Prescott Valley Christian Church 7655 Long Look Drive Prescott Valley, Arizona 3pm-5:30pm.
