Kirk Thomas Mickles Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kirk T. Mickles, 63, died March 14, 2013 in Sedona, AZ. He was born August 9, 1949 in Reading PA, the son of Shawn Michaels and Betty Brown. Kirk graduated from University High School in West Los Angeles, CA. He was a screen writer who loved to read. In his youth he loved to “hang 10” up and down the California Coast. He also considered himself to be the number one Dodger fan. Kirk served for a short time in the military and was honorably discharged in 1974. Kirk’s wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by his loving and caring family especially at family gatherings. As those who know him; Kirk’s life revolved around his family and if you were lucky enough to be called family he was there for you. Kirk is survived by his father Shawn Michaels of West Hollywood, CA, his sisters; Pam Field of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Jennifer Schafer of Colorado Springs, CO. Kirk is also survived by his son Damon Fernandez of Idaho and grandson, Niko Fernandez also of Idaho. Nephew Keith Bellamy of Chandler, AZ and niece; Shannon Robillard of Phoenix, AZ. Great nephew; Tyler Robillard of Phoenix, AZ and two great nieces; Braiden Bellamy of Huntington Beach, CA., and Jaden Bellamy of Utah. A Celebration of Kirk’s life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Wheeler-Smith Mortuary, 2890 S. Higuera St., San Luis Obispo, CA. Graveside service will follow at San Luis Cemetery in San Luis Obispo, CA with full military honors.
