Mr. Jack Julian Jack, age 74 of Dewey, Arizona, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 after a long battle with multiple Myeloma. Jack was born May 13, 1941 in Rockville, Maryland. He was the son of late Marvin B. and Freda M. Jack. Jack was predeceased by his wife Mary E. Durbin; sister Marjorie and her husband Derroll E. Rhoderick of Damascus, Maryland. Jack is survived by son Jeremy and wife Melinda of Olympia, Washington; daughter Krista, husband Chuck Walnoha and granddaughter Riley Marie of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by brother Alan; niece Kimberly; and nephew Jason of Gibsonton, Florida. Jack was a graduate of Richard Montgomery High School and attended classes for upholstery, a lifelong hobby. Jack began his career early in printing at the age of 16 with Haynes Lithograph of Rockville, Maryland and continued his career at McCollum Press later retiring to pursue his true passion, refinishing antiques. He enjoyed hunting, discussing rifle and pistol reloading skills with his good friend Robert Follin, was an avid rifleman and spent countless hours at the rifle range. His favorite season was fall for the hunting experience, or as he referred to it, "the conservation season" as he would say, "It is not what you take from the woods, it's what you leave." Jack was a Life Member of the National Rifle Association as well as the Waynesboro Fish and Game Association. We would like to thank the Cancer Care Center of Frederick, Maryland, especially Dr. Hudhud and staff, The Arizona Oncology Center led by Dr. Vu and staff, Prescott, Arizona, Thumb Butte Medical Center, Prescott, Arizona and lastly hospice care of Arizona. Services will be held privately for immediate family. In lieu of any flowers, donations may be made to Canyon River Community Hospice, Prescott, Arizona in Jack's name.
