Dwight F. Canfield of Dewey, Ariz., was born on Nov. 5, 1930, in Lamar, Colo. He passed away on Sept. 21, 2014. Dwight served in the U.S. Navy for four years in the Korean Conflict. He retired after 30 years of service as chief of the U.S. Geological Survey Map Distribution in Denver, Colo. He spent 62-plus years with the love of his life. He loved people, the outdoors, golfing and fishing. He was a member of the men's golf club at Prescott Country Club for 25 years. Dwight was a great leader, always made people laugh, and will be remembered as a true gentleman. He is survived by his wife Christine Canfield, sister Garnet, daughter Pam Lindahl and husband Dave, son Barry Canfield, grandson Dustin Lindahl and wife Elicia, granddaughter Cari Kremmin and husband Brian. A memorial service in honor of Dwight will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Faith United Community Church, 1061 Old Chisholm Trail, Dewey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thanksgiving Dinner fund at Faith United Community Church.
