Meet Our Staff
Henry Clarence “Butch” Hampton, Jr., is the current owner of Sunrise Funeral Home and Crematory. A graduate of the California College of Mortuary Science, he is a licensed funeral director and embalmer for the state of Arizona. Butch also served 5+ years as a combat medic in the US Army National Guard. He is a member of the Arizona Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.
Butch was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona. Being well known for his generosity and active participation in the Prescott community, he served as president for the Prescott Frontier Days rodeo, and the Yavapai Silent Witness organization, where he is currently a board member.
Clent Walker, a resident of Spring Valley, AZ, is General Manager at Hampton Funeral Home. With more than 22 years in the profession, Clent has an Associate of Science degree in Funeral Services from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta GA., an Associate of Science degree in Computer Programming from Philips Jr. College in Columbus, GA. Clent maintains an Arizona funeral director license, Arizona embalmers license, Arizona cremationist license, EAP Method 9 Visible Emissions certificate, a Florida funeral director, Florida embalmers license, Georgia funeral director license, Georgia embalmers license, and a New York funeral director license. Clent is also a licensed Life Insurance Producer agent in Arizona as well as a licensed ordained minister. He is a member of the National Morticians Fraternity (PI SIGMA ETA), National Funeral Director Association (NFDA) and a US NAVY (Desert Shield/Strom) Veteran.
Philip Brooks, a resident of Prescott, Arizona is a Funeral Arranger here at Sunrise Funeral Home and Crematory. Philip is a graduate of Connecticut School of Broadcasting and attended Wilcox Tech School in Meriden, CT. Philip as been an Arizona resident for more than 36 years, and with more than 15 years in the funeral profession, Philip maintains an Arizona Embalmers Assistant and Cremationist license. Philip is a family man and very active in his church, and his community.
